We are busily getting ready for our trip, which starts on Sunday, Jan 24. We are in such a different place this year than we were last year. We actually completed the basement this weekend. All boxes are empty, and all piles of things have been sorted. It has been exactly one year since this move process started. We leave Sunday, and our first stop is Des Moines. In the meantime, we had some excitement around here today. I looked out the back, and saw some work horses pulling logs on the golf course. We went out and took some pictures and videos, which I will attempt to post. It was really cool to watch. They are harvesting about 60 big trees from the woods around the course. Gus was not happy that such big animals were walking around in his back yard. I tried to post some video, but it isn't working out right now. I will try it again later. I think we're having some connection problems.
We are making the most of our retirement. Pat worked as a clinical Social Worker and Dan worked as a Social Worker and Special Education Director.
