Medicare Day but Babysitting Keeps Us Young

Lots has happened in the last week. Most of it had to do with Isaac, but we also had Pat's 65th birthday. It was very nice to have both of her sons and their families with us for the birthday.  We had lunch at The Girl and The Fig. Food was good company was even better. That evening we went to the Seafood Peddler for their Lobster special, which was very good. I would say that the restaurant is better than Red Lobster, with a nice atmosphere. We then went to thee The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which was fantastic. We both have thoroughly enjoyed the book(s) written by Steig Larrson  that the story came from.
Matt and Rachel were here this week to do some wine tasting in Sonoma and Napa and we spent three days with Isaac. Here is a video that encapsulates the visit  http://gallery.me.com/pathaber/100254   He is at such a cute age and he really was fun. He has changed quite  a bit since we last saw him in January. He seems to enjoy being with us as much as we enjoy seeing him. Friday we hung around the house and decompressed. Saturday we took the ferry into San Francisco and walked up to Belden Place and had lunch at a French restaurant. Onion soup, Potato soup, crepe and salad. very nice.  It was a perfect San Francisco day, sunny, and warm. The ferry is a great way to get into the city, and now that we get senior fares, it is also economical.

Tonight we are taking Jay and Lindsey out for dinner, at a place in Jack London Square.   Jane gave me a birthday gift certificate for this place, so we are excited to try it.  Jay and Lindsey were there for their Valentine's Brunch, so are happy to return.
So I just want to add how very, very much I loved my birthday.   Dan did take a movie of me saying that, along with saying that I really missed Adam and Melisa and Jim and Laura.   I love it when we are all together.   This was a special day for me, with all the family members there.
And p.s., it was also the day Obama signed the new law about Healthcare Reform, that was a great present!
