On the Road Entertainment

Spent Sunday on the road.  Driving went well, the weather cooperated.
This year, we are listening to Ken Follett's "Pillars of the Earth" CD to wile away the hours.  It's quite good, we are enjoying it.    We did also listen to football games, it's the NFC and AFC championship games, and the Colts and the Saints won.
One of our obsessions this trip is to find the Jane and Michael Stern's "Roadfood" suggestions for  fast food in Iowa.    I had remembered reading about it last year, but we couldn't remember the name of it.   So, we searched for it on the I-Phone and GPS, finally found the name----Maid-Rite!    The one we were near was closed, so we now have a goal for when we hit the road after Des Moines.
I am sure this is terribly boring to our followers, but maybe you can all use this as suggestions for new road toys---i.e., the Iphone and GPS---and of course, food obsessions.

  2. Yes there are, but I like the Iphone, it meets my needs, and has good coverage in the US. I am still not a big Apple fan, though we now have two Macbooks I still have the Windows PC and I like it. Hope it's starting to brighten up for Spring in Sweden. The days are getting longer
