After jazzercize and errands today, we drove into S.F. We first went to a clothing outlet, a Cut and Loose Outlet. It's clothing that I really like, i can get it in Traverse City. This was a true outlet, remember those? It was a great outlet, had "seconds" for $5, and other stuff that was really cheap. However, like a true outlet, there wasn't alot there today. But........ I will check again! Sally, you would be happy, so happy, I wish you were there with me!
We then found a new stairway walk! It was in Dolores Park, which is near the Mission, the Castro, and Noe Valley, up in the hills. It was really beautiful! One thing i noticed was how quiet it was in this neighborhood, so very surprising in this city. The houses were beautiful, all redone Victorians and Queen Annes. It was quite vigorous, esp. after my Jazzercize workout, so we did not do it all. Again, we followed our stairway bible book, Stairway Walks of San Francisco. We just missed the last hill, but we drove it later and were glad we didn't take it, better that there was a road not taken.
It was so good to do a stairway walk again, and see this beautiful city and it's hills and neighborhoods. These walks are so much fun, when you follow the book, you come upon amazing views and neighborhoods just around the next corner. The picture on the right is the "one not taken."
Afterwards, we drove back to Corte Madera to Book Passages, this very good bookstore that has speakers we enjoy. We picked up their schedule so we can see who is coming. We then went to Larkspur, walked around the town, and went to a Happy Hour at The Left Bank Brasserie. We really had a good time there, talked to a nice couple next to us. Had good cocktails, and ...............a petit plate of Steak Tartare! it was so good, Dan enjoyed it too! A good day and a good evening.
Congrats on making it to S.F. I'll have to try one of those walks, next time I'm in the City by the Bay. Will email you Dan with other news. Have a great time.
