1--go to the San Rafael Farmers Market
2--take a hike near China State Park
3--go wine tasting in Healdburg.
#1 worked out fine, we find we are regularly going to this nearby market. It is a wonderful market, as we have said before. What a treat to be able to have this every week, it is a great thing about living out here. The food here is so good, in the restaurants, the grocery stores, everywhere. We aren't gaining weight either, we're just eating good food!
#2--again, did not work out. We had Gus with us, and all the trails had No Dog signs on them. I guess we can't take him on these state land places, they must be protecting the wildlife. Too bad, I was feeling cramped up in the car.
#3--we had googled "Free Wine Tasting in Healdsburg", and got to the Yelp sight. A great sight, by the way. We did find some wineries with complimentary tasting, there aren't too many. Went to Lytton Ridge, that was very good, and then to Frog Hollow, which was o.k., but fun. Walked around Healdsburg, a really cool place with great stores. Clothing stores all had sales, and were not outlandishly priced, i was pleased to see. Did not buy anything, however. They had a "fan museum" which was pretty cool, it had alot of antique fans in it, as well as a picture of the "language" of fans. Whodda thought?

Good, fun day! The driving out in Sonoma is so gorgeous. I didn't take any pictures though. Rolling hills, miles of vineyards, cow pastures, beautiful!
p.s. to catch up, i am including a picture of myself and Henry. We babysat him last week in San Francisco while Lindsey had a facial. Walked around Pacific Heights, one of my favorite neighborhoods. So here is a picture of Henry and me, with the Baby Bjorn. (it about killed me to walk around with him up the hilly streets!)
It's also my new hairdo! I love it!

"Baby björn" was all new in the market when Joakim was born, 28 years ago. we bought one, very expensive. Now you do not see them that often here in Sweden. You know it is a Swedish product from the beginning??. A lot of good things come from Sweden, right :-)
ReplyDeleteLike the Saab, the Volvo....well there is Ikea. It is surprising how many things have originated in Sweden.Good to hear your comments
ReplyDeleteHenry's adorable! And I like your new haircut, too.
