We actually found a really nice walk today, and it was very nice out. It's in the hills off Terra Linda, in the beautiful rolling hills that surround this area. It was foggy in parts in the distance, I've come to love the fog, it's so beautiful.
We could bring Gus on this walk, in fact, there were many, many, many dogs! Dogs of all kinds, all off leash, happily greeting each other. Kids too, who loved the dogs. A nice time.
In the evening, we met our friend, Kathleen, who lives in Sebastopol. We went to her house first for wine and snacks, then went to a "House Concert". A wealthy man who lives in the countryside near Sebastopol, who is also a musician, arranges for musicians to come to his house to have a jam session. He has these montly, and loves to share this with other jazz fans. He has a room that he built on his house that is acoustically almost perfect, and seats about 75 people plus the musicians. It's a $20 for the musicians, plus a pot-luck. Well, the pot-luck part was not very good, it was mostly hummus! The wines people brought, however, were excellent. Yes, I know, this says a lot about Sebastopol!
Anyway, the musician was Adam Levy, and he was wonderful! He is similar to Keb Mo, with a little Tom Waits thrown in. In fact, he sang one of Waits' songs, since he also lives in Sebastopol.
It was a great evening, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
